November 3 Homeroom A notice about the Swine Flu has been sent home. Please follow all precautions. The Halloween minimum day was spent watching a movie, spending some time with Mr. Trujillo and enjoying the snacks provided. The costumes were really clever and it was enjoyable to see the students having a good time. If any of you have pictures you took of the class that we can use for the Year Book, please e-mail it to me. I was not able to take as many small group shots as I wanted to. Students have successfully completed the unit on early humans with a Keynote presentation as a wrap-up activity. Our next several lessons deals with the rise of early civilizations in the middle east. We will be building a shoe box Hanging Garden of babylon as a end-of-the unit project in school. Trimester 1 will be ending in a couple weeks and report cards will come out. Students need to resolve any homework issues with the teachers. 7th Grade History: 7th grade is almost finished with the unit on Islam. We slowed down due to our Keynote presentations. Our next unit is on African empires. Students are asked to create a mask before the Christmas break. Hand-outs and directions will be given out. Sincerely Mrs. Nakamura |
