VIP day Monday, April 27. Students brought home a pink form with the schedule.
Students in both 6th and 7th grades were busy this week making up missing assignments due to absences. This really helped students’ grades improve.
6th grade has their book cover and essay due Wednesday, April 29. Students will have a chance to revise their essays. I guided this assignment all week during instruction and they responded well to literary elements such as author’s purpose, audience, subject, occasion, and tone. They are to have completed the 4 critic quotes for their project and bring to school for Monday.
7th grade has been delving deep into questions posed in the oddly provocative novel, The Giver. I will have their assessment description for them completed for next week - -but students know it’s a movie poster plus essay. Both 6th and 7th grades will be enjoying a live production of The Giver in May at CSEB.
