Welcome to Hialeah Gardens Senior.

I am excited to have you in my English III class for the 2009-2010 school year.  I hope you had a restful summer and are ready to take on a new year of challenges.  I will be teaching you about American Literature and the different periods in our countries writing history.  Since there is so much to cover I will probably ask you to refer to this website for additional information or assignments.

I will also be preparing those of you who still need to pass the reading portion of the FCAT to pass it during the October retake days.  It is extremely important that you take all of my suggestions and strategies seriously so that you may succeed in passing the test this time around.  I want you to pass so that you can graduate.

The first couple of days I have addressed my rules and expectations for the year.  I would like you at this time to think about what are some of your expectations and/or questions you might have for me.

Please email those comments or questions to me.  I am a strong believer in the idea that the more input you have the more you will be involved in this class.  Please reply with your comments before Monday, August 31st or you will not receive credit.
