Mrs. Basinger AIG Facilitator The students are doing a fabulous job with their novel study of "Percy Jackson"! We have all enjoyed learning about Greek Mythology and you probably have suddenly started seeing blames placed on the Greek gods for things being lost or missing. Hermes must have taken my homework is an all too often response to "Where is your homework?" Students are working on an in-class project, but please ask them to tell you about it. I am previewing several new books to start next after a poetry study. With Valentine's Day on the horizon, I thought it would be a good time to work with poetry. In math students are almost finished with new material! This is a great accomplishment! We will be able to spend time going deeper into the curriculum and making sure that skills are truly mastered. This quarter I am working with first grade. We are learning about deductive thinking. A great game to play at home is 20 questions. ***************************************** Please feel free to contact me any time. I appreciate all the support that you offer your children and the restraint that you sometimes have to show in allowing them to solve problems on their own. Disclaimer:
