We studied number and operations,
decimals, fractions, geometry, algebra, and
problem-solving this school year.

We finished our concepts/topics for the school year.
We are spending the rest of the time on our math review using EOG
Achiever, Study buddies, and help sessions for specific concepts.
PLEASE PRACTICE BASIC FACTS SINCE THIS IS A HUGE
PART OF STUDENTS UNDERSTANDING OF MATH!!

We will use technology, calculators, math centers,
and use hands-on manipulatives during
math class. Please remember to continue practicing
your basic multiplication and division facts
during this school year!!
Our math book is available on-line through
www.pearsonsuccessnet.com

Social Studies-
We are integrating SS into our reading
curriculum this year.
Our lessons for the nine weeks will relate to our
novel "Maniac Magee". We will cover Civil Rights and the Constitution.
We will do textwork on the Civil Rights. We will

projects, and student-created products.

economics and government during the 4th 9 weeks.

Science
-

GREAT JOB ON SCIENCE FAIR PROJECTS!!

We studied landforms, biomes,
weather & climate along with force & motion
this school year.
We will be using EOG Achiever to begin our review
.
This reteaches each concept from the school year and
then asks questions for understanding.
Please ask your students frequently what they have
learned to review what they know about
all Science concepts. Please help your students
practice and review this vocabulary at home.
This is essential to doing well on the Science EOG!!
(make foldables or flashcards to practice)

Health- We will be studying personal health,
decision making skills and substance
abuse this school year. Our lessons will take
place during the 4th 9 weeks. We also had
