 November 23-25 I find that the more willing I am to be grateful for the small things in life, the bigger stuff just seems toshow up from unexpected sources, and I am constantly looking forward to each day with all the surprises that keep coming my way! ~Louise L. Hay Third Grade Reminders *Ask your child about the paperclip chain we've made to help them memorize the Apostles Creed. We practice it every day, and there is a copy of the prayer in their religion book and their assignment book. They will need to have this prayer memorized before they go home for Thanksgiving vacation. *Make sure your child has a warm jacket for recess when the weather is chilly!!! *Please send a healthy snack with your child each day. We eat our lunch a period later than last year! * Please label all of your child's clothing, especially since everything looks alike!! It makes it much easier to return lost items. Thank you!! This Week Religion The children will be tested on the Apostles creed this week. Most of them know it very well. I'm proud of them!! We will also discuss the liturgical calendar. Advent begins next week-end!! Language Arts This week the children will finish a Thanksgiving acrostic poem and will perform a Thanksgiving readers theater they've been practicing for the second grade. We will continue to practice cursive and review grammar each day using our Simple Solution books. Homework for the Week NONE Have a great week!!  |
