Transportation Systems

Transportation Systems is our completer course for Technology students here at East Rowan.

We are studying the Control Systems and Structural Systems For all modes of Transportation.

  • Degrees of Freedom
  • Ailerons, Elevators, Rudders
  • Castor & Camber Steering Systems
  • A Variety of Brake Systems
  • Roll, Pitch and Yaw

In the structural systems unit, the students will create a variety of car designs using different materials to to test the soundness of the structural design during a collision. The car will be propelled by CO2 cartridges on a track that will crash into a wall. The car's passenger (an egg) must survive without a scratch.
