Periods 1- 5: No homework this weekend. On Monday we will be working on problem solving in the CRCT Coach book and introducing line symmetry.
The mathematics portion of the CRCT is scheduled for Wednesday, April 21 and it will be here quickly. I have shared with the students that while I never know exactly what is going to be on it each year the state Department of Education has released that the test will be 15% numbers & operations, 20% measurement, 20% geometry, 30% algebra, and 15% data analysis & probability. This is proportionately different than the fifth grade test and we are trying to plan and train accordingly. Please continue to work with your students on their mathematics practice at home and talk about what we are doing at school.
