Today students read from the View and understood the inner connectedness between the souls [four friends] and possibly themselves. Issues related to what a child\'s or a character\'s life journey may bring was discussed. Ethan\'s words of had he "gained something at the Sillington House" or "lost something there" were explored.
Students were encouraged to read with open eyes and note the select phrases and sayings from the novel. These are especially important because they are the kernels of truth [see recent quiz] and a support system to readers that extends their understanding of author\'s tone.
