Welcome to the LES Band website! 

Welcome back!  I am excited to begin another year with your young musician!  We are starting band lessons for returning students on Monday, September 14.  Returning students will need their instruments and lesson books for their first lesson of the school year.  We will be jumping right back in to lessons, and I'm sure your young musician is ready to learn some new music!

We will be recruiting new band members over the course of the next few weeks.  I will be meeting with interested students on Monday, September 14 to answer questions, hand out literature, and demonstrate instruments.  I will also be presenting an information meeting for interested parents at the Leeds Elementary Open House on Tuesday evening, September 15 at 6:00 pm.  If you have any questions about enrolling your child in band, this meeting is for you!

This year's Instrument Showcases will be held on Tuesday, September 22 at Elkton High School and Wednesday, September 23 at Rising Sun High School.  Vendors will be available to rent or sell instruments and equipment from 5 pm to 9 pm on both of these dates.  If you can't make it to an Instrument Showcase, you can contact me for information on how to acquire instruments and materials.

Band lesson day is on MONDAY.  Students will need to bring their lesson books and instruments to school every Monday for their band lesson.  Having instruments and lesson books are extremely important parts of band practice.  Your child can't learn without them!  Please be sure your child brings their band materials each Monday, and encourage your child to practice at home every day!!
