HOMEWORK FOR THE WEEK OF November 16th - November 20th.
This homework will be updated daily...please make sure to check the day and block of each assignment!!!
TEXTBOOK INFO:
As most of you know, we have a new textbook series. This awesome new textbook can be found online. Here's how to get started.
1) You may click on my link - Holt Textbook Online (#1 on the list) or type in http://go.hrw.com/gopages/ss-ah.html
2) Click on Holt Online Learning (Online Textbook)
3) Enter in your Username and Password
4) Now you have some choices. You can:
a. Click on the Online Textbook Link (find the chapter and read the section)
b. Click on View Assignments, in the Assignments Due box (drag it to all) and all the online tests should pop up, and click on BEGIN TEST.
c. You can view Progress Report (the last time you logged in, any grades given from online assignments, your score on the practice tests)
d. Finally, you can click on Audio Resources—English and Spanish (here you can listen or download the sections).
*Use your screen name and password to login. Look up assessments and you will see a list of chapters - click on it and take the practice test.
MR. CROCKETT'S TEST TIPS:
=Read the CHAPTER!
=Try to answer the questions at the end of each section - do you know the answers? This is something you can do on your own. If you want me to look it over, I will!
=Look over your outlines (you did them for points, use them to your advantage - - - Study with them)! You should have key terms and people on your outline - my test has key terms and people!!!
=Think back to the activities in class - What were they about?
Why did we do them? What was the point?
=Make flashcards from the vocabulary - most of the test deals with vocabulary and important people/concepts! I will put flashcards on this site - it will be in BLUE at the top of the page.
=Review EVERY NIGHT (not just the day before the test- your late!!!) - Study the information we covered in class - then you do not have to cram! Daily review will help store the information in your long-term memory! You will feel more confident the more you review! The test will will seem easier because of all YOUR hard work!!!

Monday (B) - HW #3 (100 points) was due today. Your final group Research Project is due tomorrow. ALSO, your INVENTION is due tomorrow. Parents/Families are more than welcome to come to the Peacock Media Center from 1:30-2:30pm to see all of our inventions. Hope to see you there!

Tuesday (A) - Today your research project and invention were due today! Wow... there were so many great inventions! Tomorrow we will talk about our next chapter - Chapter 20 Immigration.

Wednesday (B) - We talked about the Invention Convention yesterday, our new chapter we will start after Turkey Break, and learned about Chicago.

Thursday (ALL) - If you have not done so already, please ask mom/dad or another family member... "When did our family come to America? What was the year? From what country? Mr. Crockett and I really would like to know!" Bring that information tomorrow and let me or your CT teacher know. Thanks!
