TO ACCESS STUDENT MATH BOOK PLEASE GO ONLINE TO www.connectED.mcgraw-hill.com AND CLICK ON 2ND GRADE. YOU CAN VIEW HOMEWORK PAGES, TEXTBOOK PAGES, HAVE EXTRA PROBLEMS YOUR CHILD CAN PRACTICE, AND EVEN PLAY MATH GAMES. PLAY WITH IT.

Student Portal:

With students ID number, students can enter their student portal. The password is their date of birth followed by "pw". Example: 06122001pw. With this they can access Ticket to Read. Also, I will be attaching to their homelearning folder their TICKET TO READ username and password, if they decide to log in seperate from the student portal.

RIVERDEEP:
Parents,

Please feel free to have your child go onto River Deep. Have students go to www.dadeschools.net. Then, click on Students tab. On the right hand side you will see the Riverdeep link; clink on it. The user name and password will be your students ID number. Once you have entered, click on Explorer Content and find what you would like your son/daughter to work on. This is a great resource for Math and Reading. Enjoy!

Reading Plus is also available. The username and password is your childs School ID number. It is the same as the one you have for RiverDeep.


VOLUNTEER HOURS:

As stated in the parent contract, all families must complete 30 volunteer hours.  If you find it difficult to volunteer your time you may purchase items from our “Wish List” of materials and you will receive 1 hour for every $3.00 you spend.  Please remember to send your receipt with the materials to the office so that they may credit you the correct number of hours.  All items that are donated will be greatly appreciated by our class.

*There will be a writing assignment graded on Thursday/ Friday.
