Mrs. Carroll's Best 4thGrade Class Ever!I hope you all had a great weekend! Week of 11/16/09 We continue with our reading of the story By the Shores of Silver Lake this week. This week we will continue to focus on asking ourselves quesions as we read to help us better understand what we read. We will also be focusing on details in what we read. We will be learning about word roots and homophones. Our spelling words are homophones and are as follows. Spelling words there The dog is over there. their Their house is really pretty. they're They're going to Disney for Christmas. pour Pour the milk into the glass. pore A pore is a tiny opening in the skin. lead Use this lead pencil. led He led the cow to the barn. wear She likes to wear a hat. ware We sell heavy cooking ware. beet I ate a beet from the garden. beat Jim beat me in the race. peek Did you peek in the window? peak The hikers reached the peak. ring The ring on her finger is gold. wring Please wring out the wet towels.
