Phonics Reading Practice List 4 is in your child's weekly envelope.  Please have your child read the list of words aloud to you and keep for future practice.

We are learning to say and write our telephone numbers.  Please help your child practice saying and writing their phone number with the area code.

With the cooler weather, please send a jacket to school with your child because we have recess outside unless its raining.  Also check the change of clothes in your child's backpack to make sure they are weather appropriate.

Remember if someone other than a student's parent or Trinity's afterschool program personnel is going to be picking up your child please give me a note with the person's name and relationship to your child.  Make sure the person picking up your child understands that they must come to the classroom door.  For your child's safety your child will NOT be dismissed to anyone that I have not been given written noticed of ahead of time.

For the week of Nov 9 - 13:

No school Wednesday November 11th, Veterans Day.

Dismissal is at 2 pm Friday November 13th.

Scholastic Book Orders due Friday November 13th.

Memory:  "You shall not commit adultery."  The 6th Commandment

Jesus time:  We will study the story of Samuel.

Math: Name a shape according to shape, color, size.  Tell time to the hour.  Identify ordinal position to fourth.

The Phonics letter of the week is "f.  Please help your child select something from home that begins with this letter sound and bring to school by Friday for show and tell.

We will continue writing our first and last names using D'Nelian Handwriting.  Please refer to the sample provided in your folder at open house.  Remind your child to use a capital letter to begin their first and last names and lowercase letters for the rest of their name.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child's education.

Ms. Cook
