Upcoming Activities:

Now:  Send a self-addressed, stamped LEGAL envelope (long envelope) to your child's homeroom teacher if you want the final report card to be mailed home.  Otherwise, you will have to come to the school to pick it up the week after school gets out (pick up date will be given later).  Report cards will NOT be given out the last day of school.  If your child owes any money to the school, the report card will not be released until the fine is paid (lunch/library/missing books).

Essay #1 Topic:

What lessons about history and life have you learned from reading this novel?  Would you recommend this novel?  Would you want to read more works by Mildred Taylor? (Explain/Elaborate)

Essay #2 Topic:

Which three characters in the story were your favorite and why?  What problems did they face and how did they handle conflicts?  What would you tell or ask each character if you could?  What wouldy ou like to believe happened to each of these 3 characters where the story left off? 

Honor's Day Program May 24th  10:30 AM (Thurs.) We will do puzzles and brain games in class this day if student's earn this reward.
