Social Studies

Congratulations to Carson T., the winner and representative of Team Courage in the Geography Bee, and Jeremy H. the runner up.

   Please bring in canned goods for the canned food drive.  Get extra credit in S.S. at the same time! (1 point/can, up to 10 points; $1 = 4 cans, if you'd rather bring money). This is the last week for the canned food drive.

We are still focusing on the continent of Europe, which we be studying until the end of this 9 weeks.

This week we will be focusing on Europe's Explorers then moving onto Europe's involvement in WWI. There will be a review guide sent home at the beginning of the week and an exam on Friday.

Science

Thank you to all parents and guardians who promptly signed their student's grade reports last week, this included all of your child's grades including the Chapter 4 - Earthquake Exam.

Your child's Mid-Term Progress Report will be sent home this week on Friday.

The "Earthquake Project" is due this Thursday, November 19th. Many of the students have informed me that they have completed the project and tested them at home, I look forward to the competition.  

This week we will be completing Chapter 5 - Volcanoes, with a small classroom project and an exam on Friday.
