HOMEROOM:  please bring a box of tissues.  I'm running VERY low.  Thank you to the student who  brought another box today!  :-)

MATH: 1.) WU #1 -CRCT Prep book, pg. 4-6 (finish at least 1/2 of the problems);   2.) Pg. 394-396, Vocab. (3) and #1-9;  3.)Signed grade sheets were due by by today - check Parent Portal;  4.)2 more daily grades entered in the Parent Portal today (pg. 390-392 and also WB pg. 240);   5.)Missing assignment sheets were sent home today (they didn't include the 2 assignments just recorded, mentioned above).

S.S.:  1.) (all) WU #4-practiced for Latin American map quiz;  2.) (5th pd.) Flip books were due today - (all classes) they will be late if turned in tomorrow, unless absent today;   3.) (all) CW/HW: define the following terms (in the margins on pg. 153-159:  occidental, oriental, deciduous, isthmus, and timber;  answer questions on pg. 159, #1-3; #1 and 3 need to be in complete sentences; copy and complete the table for #2;  (5th pd.) finish the vocab. and at least #1 on pg. 159;    4.) (all) Study for Latin America Map Quiz, which is tomorrow (Tuesday); similar to WU #3, but the numbers will be in different places on the map;   5.) (all) Latin American Country Mobile Project due Friday, Feb. 12th.  See project letter for details;   6.)(2nd Pd.) Get grade sheet signed - REQUIRED.

Literature Class

We will be working on an in class novel, The Cay, over the next couple of weeks. We will be creating a summary book and doing in class activities. If you are absent or get behind it will be your responsibility to take it home and complete the summary book, otherwise we will not have any additional homework until we are finished with the book.

The book report we were supposed to last 9 weeks has been moved to January 27th. You should have been working on your book over break.
