Business and Information Technology Education Classes

Welcome to Business and Information Technology!

*** How large is a BYTE of information?

*** Which is larger: 100 Megabytes or 2 Gigabytes?

If you don't know the answer to these questions, you should ask one of my students. They will be able to answer these questions and more about computers before the end of the quarter. (Hint: The link to The Journey Inside will help you find the answers to these and many other computer related questions.)

What we're doing...

The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Exploring Business classes will learn computer skills as well as business fundamentals. The students will be engaged in business simulation activities in class and will be expected to complete projects at home. This class will be a great learning experience for both students and parents.

You may go to the Teach ICT link below to practice the skills that we will use in class, including Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Powerpoint skills.

The supplies requirement for this class include a folder with pockets, notebook paper, and a pencil.

Click on Flashcards for a preview and/or a review. This will help you to learn and remember good keyboarding techniques. Check this page often for updates.

***Check out the keyboarding link below to practice at home or get a taste of the real world of money management by going to the Practical Money Skills website by clicking on the link listed.

Parents and students: Please feel free to send an email message to me at any time by using the link provided on this page. I would love to hear from you!
