Language Arts:  Students will be assessed on reading comprehension skills, proofreading skills (spelling, grammar, and capitalization), and using informational resources.

Mathematics: 

Students will be assessed to determine knowledge of:

·        Basic multiplication and division facts (Chapter 3)

·        Reading and analyzing bar graphs, line graphs, pictographs, line plots, and circle graphs.  Determining the mean, median, modem and range. (Chapter 4)

·        Multiplying 2 digit x 2 digit numbers, 3 digits by 1 digit numbers, and dividing 1 digit by three digit numbers with and without remainders.

·        Divisibility Rules for numbers 2, 3, 5, and 10 only. (Chapter 7)

·        Listing Outcomes (Chapter 12 p. 704)

·        Identifying, determining equivalence, simplifying, and organizing fractions. (Chapter 9)

Social Studies: 

Students will be assessed on Geography and Government:

·        Two basic types of government (dictatorship and democracy)

·        Two basic purposes of government

·        Three levels of government

·        The names of Gov. of La., Mayor of N.O., and the N. O. Sheriff

·        Purpose of Laws and Rules

·        Three Branches of Govt. and its purpose

·        The difference between primary and secondary sources

·        Reading a timeline and a map

 

Science: 

Students will be assessed to determine knowledge of:

·        Three mediums through which sound travels (Which one does it travel the fastest through?)

·        What causes an echo?

·        What causes sound in a wind instrument, string instrument, and a percussion instrument?

·        The difference between transparent, translucent, and opaque.

·        What causes friction?

·        How does heat travel?

·        The difference between conductors and insulators.

·        Reading temperatures
