January 24, 2012: In class discussion on Change Over Time.  What is Change Over Time? What does it mean?  What are the ways that technology has changed over time in the areas of Communication, Transportation, Entertainment, Daily Living, Schooling, and Scientific Discovery?

January 25, 2012 - January 27, 2012: Begin in class Mini-Project.

Trace the evolution of one of the following areas of technology over a period of one hundred years.  Create a timeline suitable for the classroom wall that includes the major changes in the technology over this time period and the people responsible for the changes in this technology (i.e. Henry Ford).  (Mrs. Toney will supply the timeline tape.)  Present your findings in a formal oral presentation to the class.

Research Areas: transportation (personal and mass), communication, entertainment technology, education technology, information technology (personal and business).

Timeline requirements: Each timeline must have twenty entries with year specific dates.  You may not copy an already existing timeline but are expected to research and create your own.  You must be able to explain and discuss each entry on your timeline.
