        Week of Nov. 30-Dec. 4, 2009   

CLASS NEWS: 

Thanksgiving Break November 23-27, enjoy your time off with your family.

If students  have not brought back their signed report card envelope, please do so ASAP.

Thank you PTF for the awesome chili dinner! 

 

BIBLE:

This week students will be tested over the following Bible verse:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

                               Proverbs 3:5-6

                 

  

PHONICS: 

Students will be introduced to the following concepts in Phonics:

- onk in honk, unk in trunk

- wa in wash, a in adopt

- y in baby, le in little 

*Phonics Test on Thursday 

 

 SPELLING WORDS: 

round  shout  cloud  south  cow  now

down  brown  clown  crown  town

slow  snow  *what  *was

*sight words

Spelling Test on Friday 

 

MATH:                                   

Students will be introduced to the following concepts:

- before/after numbers by ones from 101 to 150

- thermometer

- telling time to the half hour

 *Math Test on Wednesday                

*Keep practicing those math facts!   

SOCIAL STUDIES:

This week students will continue to learn about Great Places in America.     

 

SCIENCE:

Science will begin 2nd semester.
