Friday: NO TCAP on Fridays; normal schedule! Complete and turn in 5 DOL sentences and 12 Sentence Starters stapled to hand-out; finish and turn in ANY missing work including most recent Heros, Steve Biko; Hist Fic projects; Prep Poem; hand back graded papers. Whew! Enjoy weekend!

WEEK 10: MARCH 12-16 Begin Poetry Bronx Masquerade: TCAP schedule T/W/Thurs again this week

Mon: Poetry Terms pre-test; intro and hand out Bronx books and hand out to complete; finish Mandala of Self Masks; read thru page 80 in Bronx by end of Friday

Tues: correct Terms pre-test; keep and study; read and discuss characters in Bronx

Wed E7: discuss and fill in Bronx hand out

Thurs: Concrete Poem examples, Zorro; write

Friday: Concrete poem read and write; read thru page 80 over weekend and hand out if not caught up. Turn in Concrete Poem by Monday

WEEK 10: March 19-23 Concrete Draft and Masks are due now!

Mond: Discuss If in Bronx; begin draft of your second original poem. NO VCAB this week in order to finish 2 poems and Bronx with notes by Thursday 3/22.

Tues: PPoint Poetic Devices; read and discuss next several poems in Bronx; work time.

Wed: E7: Discuss poems through Porscha. Finish hand outs for open note test tomorrow. LIBRARY for those who'd like a choice book to read over break.

Thurs: Use Bronx and notes for Bronz SA test; no notes for Literary Terms test. Turn all work and Bronx book in. Work on Final Draft poems due after break!

Mon:  Discuss chap 15 +16 aloud and notes.  Sign up for Readers Theatre parts this week!  Study final 14 TKaM vocab words (blue hand out or below) for our Unit test along with TKaM content; study guide info (buff hand out)  ALSO turn in LATE In Class Writing and Character Sketches

Tues:  Chapter 17 Trial aloud; homework fill in your notes and read ahead

Wed: Chapter 18 Trial; Mayella Ewell; homework as above

Thurs: Chapter 19 Trial; Tom's testimony; homework notes AND read chapters 20-23 with highlighting and notes;  all short chapters!

Friday:  Review/discuss chapters; read 24 aloud.  Finish 24 and come in Monday with notes and questions to discuss in groups.
