**Other Miscellaneous Information...

  • Schoolnotes is a tool we use on the Team to help parents feel connected to the school, and to give students a snapshot of their academic week.  For clutter's sake, previous weeks are deleted, but are available from me (Susannah Parker) if needed.  Please register your email to receive notification of site updates.  Also, for school wide information, sign up for the Doherty ListServ at http://www.aps1.net/ListServ/list_serv.htm.  Thanks!
  • Meetings - If you'd like to request a meeting with team teachers at any point in the year, please be in touch with Mrs. Paula Parker (Team Leader) by email.  Parent meetings are typically offered on Mondays at 1:20 and Wednesdays at 8:00.
  • The Schedule- This can be tough for students and parents new to middle school to master.  On 6B, we have block classes Monday - Thursday.  On a regular 5 day week, students have two of their four academic team classes on each of those days, with 4 shorter classes on Friday. Students are assigned class groups by letter (A,B,C,D).  It can effect homework routines and time management, and we do talk quite a bit how to best use this schedule to the student's advantage.
    • i.e. MONDAY: A,B
    •    TUESDAY: C,D
    • WEDNESDAY: B,A
    •   THURSDAY: D,C
    •       FRIDAY: A,B,C,D
