Language Arts

• learning long “i” words
• review words with soft -c and -g
• review words with final –nd, -ng, and -nk
• reading the story The Kite
• learning about cause and effect
• comparing and contrasting
• review contractions
• learning about verbs
• learning about paragraphs
• having a spelling test on Friday (you can practice your words at www.spellingcity.com)

Math

• talking about numbers through 100
• learning place value
• taking a test on Chapter 10 (place value)

Note:  I know that there are a lot of word problems in our Math series.  I don’t expect that the children can read the problems on their own.  I always read the problems to them. 

Social Studies

• talking about goods and services
• learning about Martin Luther King Jr.

Religion

• working out of our Promise magazine
• talking about the Holy Spirit coming to Jesus’ followers
• reviewing that the Holy Spirit is the third person in the Holy Trinity

*Parents, many of you asked for directions on how to copy my homework list to a word document.  I have listed the directions below.  I hope this helps!

-With your mouse, left click and highlight all of the homework

-right click and select “copy”

-right click and select “paste”

*By printing out all of the homework on Mondays, you will not need to check our web pages every evening.
