Monday: We are still investigating different populations of insects in Science. We are hoping to trace their lives from "birth to death" and possible reproduction. We have Aphids, fruit flies, and Daphnia visiting our classroom. No math homework.  We are still review math standards.  No creataive writing.  We finished @ half the research speeches today.  We will finish them Thursday.  No spelling either.  Class mass tomorow with 4th grade.

Tuesday:  Class mass at 9:30.  Come and join us if you have time.

Wednesday:

Thursday:   Finish speeches today.

Friday: NO Spelling test. no spelling this week.   Field trip to ADENA today.  Rain or Shine   Pack lunch---no pop  Bring money for gift shop is you wish.

Creative writing Rubric:

You will have noticed that the graded assignment will have several grades on it. I am grading grammar, spelling, punctuation, handwriting and editing on every assignment.
To get a "plus" your child must write more that the assigned number of spelling words and sentences. To get a "check" your child must write the amount assigned. To get an "I" your child must write less than the assigned amount or have a few errors. To get an "N" your child must write a few sentences and spelling words or have several errors.
Example: 4 words and sentences assigned and only 2 spelling words and sentences submitted would equal an "N" in all areas. Submitting 3 spelling words and sentences would equal an "I" in all areas since the minimum requirements were not met. Make sure the spelling words are underlined.
I will also be taking into consideration whether or not the assignment was turned in on time. Finishing at school during class is not considered "turning in on time."
