  Snowman Welcome!

Mrs. Sigmon's 4th grade
Hurley Elementary School

We are continuing to learn like crazy. We talked during Morning Meeting this past week and will continue this week with the topic of 12 Powerful Words. Please continue to encourage your child to be responsible and complete homework each night. These assignments are to remain in their homework folder as a way of staying organized. Our class has specials everyday except Mondays. Our lunch time is 11:50 and parents are welcome to join us anytime. If you would like to volunteer in the classroom please contact the school office for volunteer forms. If there are any questions feel free to email me.

Topics for this week:
Language Arts:  verb tenses, irregular verbs
Math:  multiplication and division
Science:  North Carolina counties project

*Please be sure to check that your child has completed their homework each night. We get agendas out as a class to write down homework assignments so everything they need should be written in their agenda.

Computer Cloud Title
We will be integrating technology into many lessons in our classroom. We will be using computers in reading and math to practice assessments and test our skills. Our Promethean Board is also used almost everyday to help give visual learning aids. By integrating technology, we are preparing our students for the future and reaching out to the 21st century learner.
