What is Title I ?

Title I is a federally funded program that strives to provide equal opportunity and educational help for all students to succeed in school. This program offers extra teachers and tutors, additional training for school staff, extra time for instruction, and a variety of teaching methods and materials.

Enochville Elementary is a schoolwide program that can serve any of the students in the school. Every student is a Title I student in a schoolwide setting.

Students are taught in small groups or left in the classroom settting where additional support is given. The staff consults with classroom teachers to determine areas in which each student can improve.

Tips:
If your child does not like to read try non-fiction books. Some kids prefer books with photos and facts. Plus, non-fiction books prepare students to read textbooks.
