- Relax! Everyone is a learning a new schedule and learning about new teachers and new expectations. Your teachers are here to help!
- Organize yourself. Try to keep your locker neat, and to color-code your textbooks and notebooks. It will help!
- Use your agenda in every class. This will help keep you organized and help you to remember what you need to do.
- Be responsible. Remember, you can only control your own actions and behavior. You are responsible for getting all your work done and following all the rules.
- Always try your best. Your teachers and your parents want you to be the best you can be. This means that you need to put forth effort in everything you do.
- Enjoy yourself. If you can do all of the above, you should have successful middle school years!

Homework & Journal
Every 4 homeworks count as one grade (for example if you hand in a homework assignment on Mon., Tue., Wed. and Thur., you get a homework grade of 5. If you only hand in 3 assignments, you get a 4, etc.). Because each assignment is only 1/4 of your grade and because the average homework assignment is not long (usually 1 or 2 questions), late assignments will not be accepted.
Scripture journals will be based on one of the readings of the Sunday Mass that week. A new passage is assigned each Monday. Journals will either count as an Independent grade (if I have the passage written out on the board); or as a Classwork grade (if the passage needs to be looked up by the student, ie. Luke 5:4-8). 6th grade journals are due Thursday mornings; 7th & 8th grade journals are due Wednesday mornings. Scripture passages are posted on the board in class every Monday, as well as posted on Schoolnotes. Students have at least 2 days to complete their journals, therefore late journals will not be accepted.
~Ideas and questions about the passage may also be found at www.weliveourfaith.com
Art projects, writing projects and/or research projects or essays may also be assigned.
