Week of February 13 - February 17

Mass celebrated by Bishop Tobin is Tues. at 9:30. All are welcome.

As the cold and flu season is (unfortunately) upon us, the classroom is in desperate need of tissues and paper towels. Any homeroom donations would be gratefully accepted! I thank you in advance.

Grade 8 ELA - This week we will continue our unit on infinitives. Infinitives used as clauses, phrases, direct objects, appositives and adjectives will be covered (Text p. 400-405 and WB p.75-78). Daily classwork and independent work will be assigned. There will be no test this week. 

 Grade 8 Vocabulary - We will finish studying the words and definitions in Unit 9. Pages 101-104 will be assigned. There will be a test on Unit 9 on Thurs. We will then begin a review unit.   

Grade 7 ELA - We will continue working in the verb unit this week. We will begin studying the indicative, imperative and subjunctive mood of verbs (Text p. 378-379 and WB p. 58-60). We will then begin studying subject - verb agreement. This can be found on pages 382 and 383 in the text and pages 62 and 63 in the workbook. Daily classwork and independent work will be assigned. There will be no test this week.  

Grade 7 Vocabulary - We will have a test on the words in Unit 8 on Mon. We will then begin studying the words in Unit 9.   

 Grade 6 ELA - We will continue our unit on verbs. Subject and verb agreement  (Text p. 404-405 and WB p. 70-75) will be covered this week.  Daily classwork and independent work will be assigned. There will be no test this week but there will be a test the Tues. after vacation.   

Grade 6 Vocabulary - We will then continue studying the words in Unit 8. Pages 96-97 will be assigned. There will be a test on Wed. We will then begin studying the words in Unit 9.    

 Any work that is assigned in class but not finished must be completed at home!
