Week of March 22 - March 26
Living Stations of the Cross - Fri. at 1:30. All are welcome! Professional Day on Mon. Career day for middle school. Grade 8 Grammar: We will continue our unit on verbals. Avoiding hidden and split infinitives will be covered(Text p. 408-409 and WB p. 79-80) and there will be an infinitive test on Fri. Daily classwork and independent work will be assigned. Grade 8 Vocabulary: We will continue to study the words in Unit 10. Pages 120-123 will be assigned.There will be a test next week. Grade 7 Grammar: We will continue our unit on verbals (paticiples, gerunds, and infinitives). This week we will cover infinitives as subject, subject complement, and direct object (Text. p. 398-401 and WB p. 80-82). Daily classwork and independent work will be assigned. Grade 7 Vocabulary: We will continue working on Units 7-9 review. Pages 108-115 will be assigned.
Grade 6 Grammar: We will continue our unit on verbs. Transitive, intransitive, and linking verbs will be reviewed on Tues. and there will be a test on Wed. We will then begin studying present tense verbs (Text p. 398-399). Daily classwork and independent work will be assigned. Grade 6 Vocabulary: We will begin studying the words, definitions, parts of speech, and pronunciation for words in Unit 9.Pages 98 and 99 will be assigned.
