Welcome to Mrs. Snizek's Web Page. Week of May 28-June 1 Grade 8 ELA - This week we will continue our unit on sentence structure. Restrictive, nonrestrictive clauses, adverb clauses, and adjective clauses will be covered. (Text p. 444-447 and WB p. 111-113). Daily classwork and independent work will be assigned. There will be no test this week. Grade 8 Vocabulary - We will finish studying the words in Unit 14. We will then begin studying the words in Unit 15. During class we will also be doing Daily Oral Language. Grade 7 ELA - We will continue the preposition unit. Identifying single and multiword prepositions and correctly using troublesome prepositions will be covered (Text p. 426429-425 and WB p.101-104). Daily classwork and independent work will be assigned. Grade 7 Vocabulary - We will continue studying the words in Unit 13. Pages 153-156 will be assigned. Daily Oral Language will be done this week.
Grade 6 ELA - We will finish our unit on sentence parts on Tues. An exam will be given on Wed. We will then study the structure of complex sentences and the correct use of periods in formal writing (Text p.454-455 and WB p. 118). Daily classwork and independent work will be assigned. Grade 6 Vocabulary - We will finish studying the words, definitions and parts of speech for the words in Unit 12 and then begin a review unit. Pages 138-144 will be assigned. Daily oral language will also be done. Any work that is assigned in class but not finished must be completed at home!
