Please return school pictures or money (if purchasing) to school. They need to be returned to Lifetouch.

There is no school on Monday in honor of Memorial Day. I hope you enjoy the long weekend!

The book order is due on Tuesday. Please send in if you are purchasing any books.

There is a First Friday Mass on Friday at 9am. All are welcome to attend.

There are three sets of Spelling Words (Red,Blue,Purple group).

Your child will have his/her set of words written in the agenda to study throughout the week:

Blue Group: cook,stood,spoil,enjoy,toward,because,Earth,coin,fawn,shook

Red Group: brook,stood,spoil,enjoy,toward,leave,circle,helmet,

toppled,welcoming

Purple Group: joy,toy,coin,boil,join,book,look,hood,stood,fawn

There will be a Spelling and Reading test on Friday.

Religion: We will review sacraments and commandments and we will read Bible stories.                                               

Handwriting: We will practice writing words and sentences.

Math:

Practice identifying coins, knowing how much they're worth and  adding them together.

Also, practice telling time- on the hour and half hour.

We will continue studying Measurement:  I will briefly introduce the Metric System.We will study Fractions and Probability.

Social Studies: We will continue unit - 'We Live in Communities'.

We are making mobiles to accompany this unit.

Science: We will continue Weather investigations.We are making Meteorologist Science Kits to accompany this unit.

Health: We will continue to study the major 'Body Systems'. We are making 'body system' vests to accompany this unit.

Technology: The children will continue using the lap top computers. The technology teacher and I will assist them with their lessons. They are very excited to do this! 

The children are learning the basics of typing on the keyboard as well as typing in Word.
