Happy Veteran's Day to all veterans. This holiday holds a special place in my heart as the daughter of a World War 2 veteran.
A short week here at Newark Charter School was very busy as usual.
6th ELA continues to make progress with their writing. I am very pleased with the latest writing piece. Students have a copy of the latest assignment, a book summary. They can begin that anytime. Sometimes we don't have enough time in class to read all they want to read. The next vocab words were introduced and over the three day weekend, students should finish study cards and study them!
6th Math - Naming and multiplying decimals has been a challenge. A quiz will be given on Monday. Go on-line and practice from the Holt website. Students have their passwords and usernames.
5th Science - We are learning all about the digestive system. What an interesting unit. Stay tuned for labs and notes!
6th Science - We have begun the Ocean unit, a very unique unit with many interesting lectures and labs.
Have a great weekend, thank you for your continued support.
