Hi Kindergarten Families,
I have FINALLY figured out how to read my notes on how to make entries to Mrs. Perler's Blog! Hey some of us don't have the technical know how, but we sure try until we get it right!
I am sure your children have told you our biggest news but just in case, Grace Olivia Perler was born November 28. She is lovely! (Just like her Mommy.) Mother and baby are doing well as of my last communications.
We have been so busy in Kindergarten! Learning about Thanksgiving and now becoming Peacemakers during the first week of Advent. The Living Advent prayer service was Monday morning in our gym. The eighth graders prepared and preformed the service for the school. It was so inspiring. We learned that the first week of Advent is dedicated to Peace. We have been trying to be Peace Makers in our classroom and around the school.
I hope that you have noticed your children have a new reading folder that is coming home every night. (Thank you to those of you who have sent in the Green Folders) Please share a few minutes with your child and listen to them read the short stories and poems. Please continue to work on the sight word cards too. This is such an important time in your child's educational process. Please be a "Lucky Listener" for your child.
Lastly, I would like to ask each of you to send in an empty, clean vegetable or soup can. Please remove the label and write your child's name on the bottom. These will be used for a class project starting on December 10th.
Thank you for the new green folders, if you have not sent in one for your child please do so.
God Bless your Advent and Christmas seasons,
Peace,
Mrs. Laura Wagner

Dear Parents/Guardians,
As you know, my family and I are expecting our second baby in November. Due to unforeseen complications, my Doctor has put me on moderate bed rest. It saddens me to inform you that my last day will be Friday, October 26th. At this time, Mrs. Wagner, our classroom aide, will be taking over. Please do not hesitate to contact her if you have any questions or concerns: [email protected] . I will miss seeing all of those bright, smiling faces each morning!
I appreciate your thoughts and prayers as my family and I get ready to bring a new baby into our lives! I wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and Blessed New Year.
Peace,
Mrs. Perler
