"Pinterest" is a very resourceful website for ideas relating to the areas taught in Family and Consumer Sciences Classrooms. This website is a way that students can view trending designs as well as established ideas and store these "pins" for later use. Many if not all of these "pins" come with instructions for one to follow to "diy" (do it yourself). This website is free to everyone and used quite frequently by myself to plan for activities in class and to provide examples for students.

Our Friday's are usually spent exploring recipes and gaining cooking experiences. The month of January has focused on Leavening chemical/agents in recipes and how they perform their job.

For the classroom days that are not Friday's, we are working on our Interior Design unit. Students will practice using specific color schemes, as well as the principles and elements of design. Students will work with classmates at their tables to design/create and decorate a dream house using recycled materials for every aspect of the dream house.
