This week is a short week 10/12- 10/14.  Therefore we will not be having spelling this week but rather we will work on our dictionary skills instead.  Upcoming events include:  Field Trip to the Lee Metcalf wildlife refuge 10/22- please remember to sign permission slips and return them.  Run-a-thon October 29th in the afternoon (weather permitting of course).  Chances of a Halloween Party look pretty good the kids are at 1, 368 points and need 2,500 points to earn the party.  That night (October 30) is also the PTM Halloween Carnival and Fund raiser as well as Trunk or Treat.  Any questions of upcoming events please feel free to email me or comments may be made to this post.

It is amazing that we have been back to school for a month.  The time has just flown by for me and for your students.  We are almost done with the review phase and things will begin to get more complicated and difficult for students.  Please remember to sign their homework planner page every night and have discussions with your student about their day.  We are also reading every night for 20 min.  So if your student says they do not have homework at night they always have reading, spelling (study those words- found on spelling page of this website) or math.  Thses are the years that they become more responsible for their learning process.  Let's help them together.

Thank you so much for sharing your child with me this year! I know this is a large group of kids but I also know that they are a great group of  kids!  Over the last two weeks they really have been putting their best foot forward and becoming the fourth graders I knew they could become.    Please remember if you would like to have Turkey Dinner with us on November 20th that you need to notify Marcia in the office by tomorrow 11/14 Friday.  Does anyone have anything to add?
