Important Dates:

Tomorrow morning, Monday, December 7, have your child go to the gym for the Advent Prayer service. We will not be in our room until 7:40 or 7:45.

Spirit Day- Wednesday, December 9 2:00 early dismissal. Please send a can food item for the Food Bank. Spirit Day is Giving Day!

Sunday, December 13- Music Christmas Program (grades K-2^nd) 1:30-2:30 The kids will need to be in their classroom at 1:00.

Your child will have a part in the program, some will dress up and others will have a small speaking part with 2 or 3 other kids. For the speaking parts, I sent home a sheet with what your child will say. Please help your child to read this or memorize the short part. If this is your first Christmas program at OLLIS, the kids dress nicely, church clothes, some choose to wear Christmas outfits.

Tuesday, December 15- Field Trip to State Farm to sing Christmas songs to State Farm employees with our Partner In Education, Brian Hazelrigg. For the field trip, the kids may wear their uniform pants, and a Christmas shirt, they may also wear a Santa’s hat or reindeer antlers.

Friday, December 18^th- Class Christmas Party at 2:00-2:55.

Please continue praying for Rhyan, her family and the medical team. Rhyan will be back in the hospital this week for the third round of chemo for 4 days. 

I sent home a list of skills your child will be assessed on for second quarter and on the back is a list of current word wall words. Second quarter ends on Friday, January 8^th.

Reminder: The Scholastic book order is due tomorrow, Monday, December 7^th. If you want to order books for Christmas gifts, please let me know the books are a gift and I will let you know when you can pick the books up at school.

Sneak Peek into the Week:

The letter of the week is B, Beautiful Buttons. The homework will be in your child’s folder on Monday and it will be due on Thursday.

Religion- Advent, The kids will make stockings for St. Nicholas to stop by next Sunday.
