I find that his name spell corrects to IBM bathtubs. That's pretty strange, anyway, I hear that all went well today thanks to mrs. Baker, so you should all be good to go for brief presentations on our traveling friend tomorrow. Dont overly stress -'this is fact finding, you may find a ton, you may not. Keep it to 5 minutes or less per group. See you tomorrow! Feel free to ask any questions here,

Here's a new one you guys can use. As I mentioned yesterday, I wanted to research the roles of eunuchs in china. I did. They wee used from the Shang through the Qing as guards of the Chinese harem. This of course goes to show that harems were used in china for dynasty after dynasty, which is an indication of the lack of women's rights. Eunuchs were capable of rising in the power order, best illustrated by zheng he. So potentially rewarding was being a eunuch that some people self-castrated - ouch. Koreans were shipped to Ming china as tribute and castrated. The traditions of eunuchs guarding the women of the royal household continued until 1911!

It's certainly something that can be used Monday!
