Dear Parents,

Welcome to Preschool! I’m so excited to have your child in my class this year. It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and fun adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us!

In this packet you will find lots of valuable information about our class and classroom so you know what to expect when we begin the school year together. Please fill out any paperwork that is needed and return them to me at our parent orientation on September 10th. You may bring school supplies to the orientation as well.

I can’t wait to get started!

If you have any questions please contact me at

[email protected]

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

  • Your child will bring their folder each day to and from school. Notes and important papers will go home often in your child’s folder. Please send anything you would like me to see in that folder. The second folder will be kept at school to hold your child’s assessment paperwork.
  • Please be sure to always have a change of clothes in school. Include a shirt, pants, underwear and socks. Place the clothes in a large ziplock bag and label it with your child’s name. If your child uses the extra clothes, please replace them as soon as possible.
  • Show & Tell will be held every Wednesday. Your child may bring in one item from home to share with the class that begins with the “Letter of the Week.”
  • Please pack one healthy snack for the mornings
  • Daily Apparel:

Pre-K does not have a uniform requirement, however students should dress appropriately for weather conditions and outdoor play. Shoes/sneakers must fit and be secure for safety. Students will be sitting “criss cross apple-sauce” on the rug and should feel comfortable doing so.

  • Class Schedule:

The Pre-K 3 classes are scheduled Monday through Wednesday. Half day hours are from 8:00am – 11:00am. Students will be greeted by their teachers at the outside front door at 8:00am. Please arrive on time each day for drop off and pick-up. The children will be dismissed at the same door.

  • Birthdays:

Please inform me in writing if your child will be celebrating their birthday in school. You are welcome to bring in cupcakes or any other special treats that your child would like to share with the rest of the class.

  • Brown Envelopes:

Any information coming from the office will be sent home with your child (or the oldest child in the family attending our school) in a brown envelope. Please be sure to always return the envelope the following school day.

  • Protecting God’s Children:

Any parent who wishes to volunteer in the classroom, attend special events like Mother’s or Father’s Day, and go on the class trip MUST attend a Protecting God’s Children workshop. Please see the school website or speak to someone in the office for information.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
