Hello Parents and Students,

As I communicated to my students last week during class, I have high expectations for them this year.  They, in turn, should expect to work hard, yet also anticipate success.  Our Social Studies classes will consistently be marked by a great deal of respect and responsibility, producing an environment in which everyone can learn to the best of his or her ability.  I look forward to your partnership in this process.

Upcoming Assessments:First- Sixths Periods-September 3, 2015.

Standards at a Glance:

6th Grade:  Students will explain the impact of location, climate, natural resources, and population distribution on Europe

8th Grade:  Students will describe the evolution of Native American cultures (Paleo, Archaic, Woodland, and Mississippian) prior to European contact.  Students will explain reasons for the European contact.

Thank You for your support.

Mrs. Lattimore

Hello Parents and Students,

The first week of school is down and I am ready to begin our second week.  Each week I'll share with you our Social Studies Standards for the week.  This week we had to adjust some schedules and got through a small amount of content, but don't worry we will make adjustments to make sure we are on track to cover our material.

I look forward to a fantastic school year.

Mrs. Lattimore
