8th grade students have been assigned a biographical essay of a Civil War general of their choice. Their essay must contain an opening paragraph, background information, achievements, an historical assessment, and concluding paragraph. The scoring rubric has been given to each student and is also posted on Google classroom. The essay is Due Monday 2/13/2017.

6th grade students have a project on hieroglyphics due Tuesday 2/14/17. They must create their own hieroglyphics for the English alphabet, as well as symbols for emotions, places, and things. Points will be given for creativity. Student need to introduce themselves, and write one or two interesting things about themselves in their hieroglyphics. Projects should include a letter and symbol key. 

All students are required to have one red and one green pen for class by Monday November 7, 2016. 

8th grade will have a unit test on chapters 13 and 14 on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. The questions are posted on Google Classroom. Students are required to have four questions prepared to answer when they come for the test on the 9th. I will also choose two questions for them to answer, making a total of six questions. 

I am available after school everyday but Friday of this week, and both Monday and Tuesday of next week for extra help.
