It is now a week later and still many students do not have the required reading. I don't understand! This assignment was given more that 2 weeks ago and 2 people had it on the due 2!!! to date 9 people, NINE, still don't have it! I cannot and will not conduct a class like this. These students are holding up class discussion and teaching because i can't do either with only 1/4 of the class prepared. i am giving out assignments which cannot be done by those who do not possess the book. Students MUST have this book by MONDAY OCTOBER 31.

I'm a little disappointed today. On october 14th i asked that the 8th graders bring in the book the old man and the sea. as of today 2 people have the book. students had a week t get this. i'm not waiting. i have assigned reading homework: the first 2 chapters. those who do not have the book will have to catch up. deadlines are set for a reason, please adhere to them.

a great day at st ray's for respect life day! a lot of concepts, challenges and ideas were posed to our kids....much to think about!
reminders: 8th grade project is due monday 10/24 -- no excuses! can't wait to hear them, i invited mr. klice too!

religion test friday10/28 chapter 6 AND rosary test monday 10/31
6th & 7th grades literature test on monday 10/24 on your literature stories

Students will need to bring in $6 for a science magazine we will be using in class. the first month is free. if it works for us the class will buy it, if not, we'll cancel it.
