• Teacher will review story Elements Focus Overview: Setting/Character

• Class will listen to Prologue. Students will take turns reading Chapters 1 and 2

Students will complete Guided Reading Notes in ISN only focusing character and Setting

Tuesday: We Do:

• Story Elements Overview: Characters/ Characterization

• Reading Chapter 3-4

• Guided Reading Notes in ISN

Wednesday: We Do:

• Reading Chapter 5-6

You do:

• Writing Wednesday: Write a summary of what has happened in the story using the story elements that we have discussed.

New Vocabulary List: Students will be given a list for the following chapter

Thursday: You Do:

• Vocabulary Quiz

We do:

• Read Chapters 7-8

You do:

• Assigned Achieve 3000

Friday: You Do:

• Quiz: Chapter 1-5

• Read Chapter 9-10

• Achieve 3000
