Reading: Read every night for 15 mins. Do one journal entry in reading journal per week.
*New Assignment for Sight Words: Practice reading the sight words of the week. By the end of this quarter your child should be able to recognize and read the first two columns of the "Dolch Words" list that was sent home with your child over the Winter break. Therefore, every week your child will need to turn in a newspaper article of their choice. Your child is to circle the sight words of the week and turn it in on a weekly basis. New words will be added weekly.
Sight Words of the Week:

Math: Do assignments on single-digit and double-digit addition and subtraction.
Language: Do assignments on "R" and "L" blends. Do sequencing assignment "Ready for School".
P.S. Scholastic Book Clubs orders are due by January 12th with your child's homework.
