Scrapbook Project – the Republic of Texas

Directions:

You will create a scrapbook page for one of the Presidents of the Republic of Texas using your knowledge of Texas History during the Republic. You can choose either Sam Houston (1^st and 2^nd term together), Mirabeau Lamar, or Anson Jones.

What must be on the project:

• Your name
• The words “Republic of Texas 1836-1845”
• Picture of chosen president and 4 facts about his presidency
• Name of the chosen president
• A variety of decorations (such as but not limited to: stickers, cut-outs, writing, etc.) that help make the page look interesting and appealing to the eye.
• Clean and neat page – no misspellings or incorrect facts (-3 point for each misspelled word or incorrect fact)
• Paper must be 12 x 12 in size

THIS RUBRIC MUST BE TURNED IN WITH YOUR PROJECT! IF YOU DO NOT TURN THIS RUBRIC IN WITH PROJECT, YOU WILL LOSE 5 POINTS.

**Project is due on January 31^st even if you are absent. One day late and you can make no higher than a 70 and two days late is a zero.
