Homework Assignments

Reading: Read every night for 20 mins. Do two reading journal entries per week. Read the story of "Golly's Fitness Plan" and "Sal's Closet" as part of your daily reading. These books are not to be used for your journal entries. An additional list of books has been attached. These books may be used for reading journal entries. The books given must be brought back with your child's homework. Practice reading memory and Dolch words.
Memory Words: plan just lifts hits kicks bends twists sniffs quick Sal's his has swim stick puck golf closet helmet
Dolch Words: no not run see the will what you me all
Writing: Write a sentence for each new memory word. Then circle the noun(person, place, or thing)and underline the memory word.
Math: Do math assignments: Practice counting by 1's, 2's, 5's, 10's up to 100 for 1st grade and up to 200 for 200 for 2nd grade.
1st grade: Learn addition facts 4, 5, and 6.
2nd grade: Learn addition facts 6, 7, 8, 9,10.
