I hope everyone is having a great week. I just wanted to give updates about our homework for the week.

Math: We are working on subtraction with numbers 1-10.

Reading: We are reviewing the short vowel sounds and reading vcv words.

Language:  We are focusing on our 5 sight word, writing them 3 times each, and then creating a sentence for every word.

Reading: we are focusing on te sound short "I". We are creating words with that sound and making sentences.

Language:  we are focusing on our 6 sight words and making sentences with those.

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to say that I hope everyone is having a fantastic fall break! I also wanted to remind you to make sure that you're child is doing their homework because it will be due the Wednesday that we get back from break. Be sure to be reading with your child as well, so they can put it in their reading journal. Lastly, I just wanted to remind you that Book Blast will be right around the corner after we get back from break, so if you could please be sure to send in the items that I have designated to your child that would be wonderful!

Reading: Read every night for 20 minutes and complete two reading journals. Reading journals are due on Fridays. Students should focus on sight words flashcards that were made in class on Tuesday.  

Math: This week we are focusing on addition with sums adding up to 20. We are also going to start going through patterning as well.

Language: We will be working on writing conventions , such as capitalization and punctuation.
