I hope everyone is havig a fantastic fall break! Just a reminder that the homework packet is due the following Tuesday after fall break. Also, please remember to send in your child's book blast donation that following week as well. Book blast is a lot of fun for the kids as long as we have everything we need. Lastly, a note asking for your email so I can link you to the Superkids website was sent home as well. If you could please return that ASAP it would be greatly appreciated! The website is a great resource to help connect what your child is doing in the classroom to your home.

I highly encourage reading nightly with your child. Help them to become familiar with the different parts of a book. We really want to focus on making reading enjoyable for the kiddos!

Your child's homework packet consists f a lt of practice work for them. Please make sure to turn in their packet every week. It's very important that your child is consistently doing/turning in their reading journal entries as well. Please remember that they need to have 90% of their homework turned in, in order to be eligible for the end of the year field trip.

Math: The homework packet consists of double digit addition and subtraction practice. They are also worksheets to start measurement practice. 

Reading: The homework this week consists of compound word practice and consonant blends practice.

Language: please have your child write their sight words 3's each and then have them write a sentence for each word.

Math: The homework for math this week consists of the hundred addition math facts and double digit addition practice.

Language: In the homework packet there is practice with initial consonant blends. There is also practice for their sight words. The words are: this, there, that, then, they, and them.

Reading: Please read nightly with your child and remember to have them do their reading journal. 

Math: The homework for this week is about differentiating between addition and subtraction. I just want the student to make sure they can tell the difference between the two and signs and they know which operation goes with the correct one.

Writing: This week they need to write their sight words 3x's each and then create a sentence using each word. Sight words: time, like, made, make and people

Reading: Please make sure you are readig nightly with your child, and that they are doing their reading journals every week. :)
