Chartered accountancy or CA as it’s commonly termed is a globally recognised certification in accounting industry. Students who wish to pursue may continue enrolment right after high school, college or even after completing bachelor’s degree. Although it’s a highly professional certification, many aspiring students continue their Master’s degree even after that for better employment opportunities. Before getting enrolled in certificate program, you must be acquainted with the subjects as highlighted below.

Business management

It’s purely a theoretical subject based on business policies, tasks and procedures implemented within an organisation. This subject also deals with employee and employer relations along with how to deal with potential customers and clients. Case study usually involves a particular scenario to which students must provide a viable solution in light of business principles. To identify strengths, weakness, opportunity and threats of an organisation after comparison with budding companies and competing markets is another feature you’ll learn.

Statistics & probability

As accounting takes into account 60 to 70 percent calculation while remaining proportion is theoretical, statistics and probability helps build foundation for such concepts. You’ll learn differentiation, integration, organise and distribute data, business forecasts based on mathematical models so on. All of these features would help develop a sense of crafting business reports; manage financial data and resource allocation.

Computer studies

This also involves financial data that covers budgets, assets, capital and other monetary elements.

Banking & finance

In-depth knowledge of bank operations and flow of money among different branches is crucial in accounting. When pursuing for CA courses in Dubai, institution would ask several questions about banking sector and its practices that are followed on local and international level. This particular subject is usually included in CA course curriculum.

Economics

Yet another subject is economics that’s often considered other end of the string. Subject covers demand, supply, resource allocation, asset deficit and surplus so on. All of these elements play an integral role in accounts industry and one must’ve a good grasp over them when pursuing for CA, ACCA or any other relevant accreditation.
