Dear Prek Parents The beginning of the school year is a time for the children to learn the rules, routines, and transitions of our classroom. The children are progressing well and we will continue to work on transitioning skills throughout the school year. This week we will begin to discuss our first unit on "All About Me." In this unit we will talk about the things and characteristics that make us unique. We will talk about our age and birthdays, our body parts, the five senses, our feelings, etc. Attached you will see an "All About Me" project that will be completed at home. I would ask if you can please help your child complete it. The project asks the children to write their name, draw their favorite food, draw a picture of their family, draw their favorite thing to go and write how old they are. The project will be due on Friday, Septembdr 23rd. The children will present their project for show and tell. If you haven't done so, please remember to bring in a small blanket and a fitted crib sheet for your child to use during nap time. Please remember to write your child's name on the blanket and crib sheet. School will be closed on Wednessay, September 28th. If you have any questions of concerns please email me at [email protected], call me at 718-882-2203 or place a note in your child's folder. Thank you :) Sincerely, Ms. Cantarella
