Hello! We have been getting back into the swing of things in French with Review. I know French is not a priority during the summer so we are reviewing numbers, greetings and will start our new topics on Monday October 1. Every french class has Mini Prof which everyone will present at least once a month. Please have your child practice at home. The students will be taking turns each day doing the calendar and asking calendar related questions. This will be ongoing throughout the year. Here is what is going on in your class:

5L French: as well as doing mini prof, we will be having a french workshop for the grade 5s on October 5 in the morning. A french chef will be preparing a meal with the students. The students have been working hard learning the vocabulary as the whole presentation will be in French!

6C and 6V: Starting in October we will be starting our Natalie unit.

Grade 7C and 7RC: we will begin our unit on School

Grade 8B and 8M: we will be starting our unit on the verb avoir. They have a partner conversation presentation that they have been working on.

Religion
We have started Chapter 1 in both grade 7 and 8.

Grade 7 classes learn about the saint of the day every day and at the end of each month they will pick a Saint we have learned about and write a report on them.

Grade 8 classes read a daily devotion and we discuss it within class.
