There are comprehension strategies mentioned in the reading classes that are also in student's reading books.
Some examples that students should be using while reading are as follows:
Using context clues for meaning of unknown words in the passage
Rereading a passage twice to help with summarizing ( retell the passage in their own words)what they have read
